The Davis Family has seen the effects of Muscular Dystrophy firsthand with the diagnosis of their nephew Adam's disease in the late 1990's. Adam's illness inspired the team to race for the charity and they have been doing it for many years. Davis Racing is proud to say that all earnings from racing are donated to MDA.
What is the Muscular Dystrophy Association?
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency — a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.
Each year on Labor Day, the same weekend the famous Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon is broadcast, Davis Racing brings the cars out to various locations and raises even more money for the foundation. Pairing that with the earnings from the season, every year they are able to give generous donations that brings us one step closer to finding a cure.
